• Presentation: PowerPoint, by Microsoft
  
• Word Processing: Word, by Microsoft
  
• Spreadsheet: Excel, by Microsoft 
  
• Portable Document Exchange: Adobe, by Acrobat
  

• Windows 7 is the latest version and was released on 22 October 2009. Windows Vista the previous version of the operating system for Windows based machinesbut many machines are still running Windows XP.
  

• Firefox and Internet Explorer allow you to view and interact with information on the World Wide Wed
  
• Microsoft Word focuses on written documents
  
• Adobe Acrobat allows portable document exchange
  
• Microsoft Excel creates spreadsheets
  
• Microsoft PowerPoint produces on presentations and slide shows
