Setting up Yahoo! email:

*Note - The steps are an approximation - the steps that you use may vary slightly - and will assist you in setting up your email and signing up for the list. 
We follow all of the steps as a duing the lecture portion of class.*

1.  In the address bar of you web browser type in the following information:
http://www.yahoo.com

2.  Click on the Check Email icon (third from the top right of the page).

3.  Click Sign up now

4.  Choose the Free Email Option on the left side of the page

5.  Type in the appropriate information in the boxes provided.  You will choose your own name and password for your email.

5.  Click the submit button at the bottom of the page.

6.  If your information if processed correctly you will receive a confirmation.

7. Click the Continue to Yahoo! Mail button.

8.  To check your messages click on Check Mail on the top left hand side of the screen.

9.  To read your messages click on the Subject of the message in your inbox.  In this case it is "Welcome to Yahoo! Mail"

10.  To write messages click on Compose on the top left hand side of the screen.

11.  Type the person you would like to read this email address in the To: section.  

12.  Type a short heading in the Subject Area on what this email is about.

13. Type your message in the large center box.

14.  You will click the Send button when you are finished.

Sign up for the MT34801 Class "Group"

1.  In the address bar of you web browser type in the following information:
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/mt34801/

2.  If you are not already Signed On to Yahoo! it will ask you to sign on now.  Type your Yahoo! name and password in the appropriate fields in Existing Yahoo! users.

3.  Review the options that you are given.  Do not alter the choices, they are fine as they are, and click Submit.

4.   If your information if processed correctly you will receive a confirmation.  You are now signed up for the MT34801 Group.
