Many of our classes will be online from now on (although we will meet in person for face-to-face classes a few more times) because we can not install software on the computers in our lab. As a result, we have online classes that enable us to install software such as the Flash plug-in (the "player") for our browser as well as the Flash authoring tools with which we can create our OWN Flash content.

Because Flash is a commercial product only the plug-in is free: the Flash authoring tools cost $$. We can, however, download a TRIAL VERSION of the Flash Professional 8authoring tool at:

 http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/

NOTE: The Flash Professional 8 Trial version installer is HUGE at almost 50 megabytes (50MB), which can take HOURS to download over a dialup modem. As a result you'll have to start the download now, but may not be able to start using the program until tomorrow if you're using a dialup modem to connect to the Internet.
