IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED ADOBE SVG VIEWER DO SO NOW:

DOWNLOAD AT START OF CLASS: Start downloading Adobe's SVG Viewer browser plug-in at the start of this online class. The Adobe SVG Viewer browser plug-in is nearly 3 megabytes (3MB) in size, so it'll take a while over dialup modems! Visit Adobe's SVG Zone to get SVG Viewer (ONLY INSTALL A COMPLETE, FULL VERSION -- DON'T INSTALL "PREVIEW" OR "BETA" VERSIONS SINCE THEY'RE NOT COMPLETE OR STABLE). From the SVG Zone choose the "Downloads" area, or go directly to "Download the Adobe SVG Viewer".

When you go to Adobe's SVG Zone at http://www.adobe.com/svg/ you'll have to click on the DOWNLOAD link, then click on the Adobe SVG Viewer link. This will take you to the "Adobe SVG Viewer Download Area", from which you can read about and then download the Adobe SVG Viewer for your operating system (read the download and install instructions for details).

After this course is over you can uninstall (remove) any software that you don't want on your computer...

To UNINSTALL software on Windows computers:

Under Windows95 and Win98 you can uninstall software by going into the "Add/Remove Programs" Control Panel available from the START MENU:

START>>SETTINGS>>CONTROL PANEL

Once you've opened Control Panel look for the "Add/Remove Programs" item. Double-click on it, then look for the item you'd like to remove (such as "QuickTime", for instance, if you want to remove that plug-in).

Select it, then click on the "Add/Remove" button -- Windows will then try to automatically uninstall this software.

After uninstalling software (or a collection of software programs) it's a good idea to restart your computer before doing further work.
